About Honest Botanicals

Honest Botanicals is a Canadian company that distributes CBD products produced by federally licensed cannabis processors. We sell to adults of legal age, ship only within Canada, and publish the lab report for every batch we carry.

What we do

We operate an age-verified online store for CBD oils, capsules, and topicals that have been cultivated, extracted, and tested under the Cannabis Act and the Cannabis Regulations. We are not a licensed producer ourselves — we work with Canadian licensed processors whose products we review, stock, and list on this site. The licence information for each producer is on the product page.

How we decide what to carry

Full batch documentation. Every product on this site has a current Certificate of Analysis (COA) from an ISO 17025 accredited Canadian laboratory. The COA covers cannabinoid content, pesticide panel, heavy metals, residual solvents, and microbial contaminants. We do not list a product if we cannot publish its COA. Here is how to read one if you are new to it.

Canadian supply chain. Every product on this site is produced in Canada by a federally licensed processor. We do not import. We do not re-sell products sourced from outside the country.

Label accuracy. We spot-check the cannabinoid content on the COA against the label claim. Products that do not land within the tolerance window defined by the Cannabis Regulations do not go on the shelf.

What we will not do

The Cannabis Act places firm limits on what a Canadian CBD seller can say in marketing, and we follow those limits closely. That means we do not publish testimonials about symptoms or conditions, we do not make health claims, and we do not describe our products in terms of outcomes they might produce. We describe what is in the bottle, how it was tested, and how it is typically used. If that feels sparse compared to other cannabis sites, the difference is that everything on ours is verifiable.

Age verification and shipping

Every visitor is asked to confirm legal age before any product page loads. Every order is shipped with an adult-signature requirement. The minimum age is 21 in Quebec, 18 in Alberta, and 19 in every other province and territory — our checkout uses the shipping address to apply the right one. Full shipping details are here.

Privacy and data

We comply with PIPEDA and, for orders shipping to Quebec, with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25). We collect only the information required to fulfil an order and to verify legal age, we do not sell or share customer lists, and our retention policy is published in our privacy policy.
